Wisp Project is a fork of SpectreCoin that aims to improve developer transparency and increase community trust.
Due to a lot of internal conflict between the developers of SpectreCoin (XSPEC), a new coin called WISP will be forking off XSPEC and the dev team will split. All of this has escalated from a previously amicable split where both sides agreed to help each other.
In short, Mandica (lead SpectreCoin dev) says that developer @jbg was paid by the community to provide a GUI update to the wallet and for @bryce to work on stealth staking. She claims not only has @jbg not provided the updates, he has refused to show any proof of work for them when Mandica asked to see them. @jbg denies the allegations, saying any pay he received was for general work on the code, not specifically for the new 1.4 wallet. Essentially, he called Mandica a liar and the fight escalated quickly.
XSPEC holders will receive WISP at a 1:1 ratio. The fork date will be announced at a later time.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. Keep your XSPEC coins in a SpectreCoin or WISP wallet at the time of the fork.
2. If you do not have a SpectreCoin wallet yet, you can download one here.
3. Exact Snapshot date to be announced.
